Sovereign ESG Integration: A Bibliometric and Systematic Literature Review

Abstract Investments with sustainable principles that fulfil environmental, social, and governance (ESG) stress the notion of sovereignty, varied financing needs criteria jurisdictional features, have just lately begun to emerge. We intend investigate debate volume scope research performed in environment. Using PRISMA framework, we obtained 37 articles from 2009 2021 related sovereign aspects ESG based investment Scopus database. found issues discussed were dominated by Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWF), particularly Norway, which has world’s largest market value. emphasize need for developing countries SWFs as well host countries, analyze climate-impacted sectors, formulate our own composite index a common denominator, where cross-border legal basis SWF is strengthened.
